Class Description: Perfect for anyone who needs a little help in the kitchen, GLK’s intro cooking class covers a variety of basic, easy-to-master techniques. Chef Bernard will demonstrate essential knife skills, an overview of different vegetable cuts, and plenty of hands-on practice as we prep fresh ingredients. We will also walk you step by step through the fundamentals of cooking grains, making soup from scratch and perfectly deconstructing and roasting chicken. You’ll discover how simple it can be to make a vinaigrette from scratch and put your own spin on salad using any greens and grains. Plus, we’ll end on a sweet note with a decadent chocolate mousse made with just three ingredients.

What To Expect: Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In our 2 Part series class, you will work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment.

Tomato Soup OR Portobello Mushroom Soup with Homemade Chicken Stock

Farro Salad with Arugula and Lemon-Basil Vinaigrette
